Maternity Sessions:
Maternity photos are an excellent opportunity to capture you as you transition into the most beautiful part of your life. As a mother of 2 beautiful souls myself, I understand just how important this is.
What to wear to maternity photos:
With maternity photos, I want you to be comfortable and allow for your natural glow to come through. I allow for two wardrobe changes, so you are free to mix it up. Many moms love to wear beautiful flowy dresses, while others opt to wear gorgeous lace dresses in a solid color that pops out. Those let us take advantage of the beautiful colors here in Southern Jersey.
Other moms love tight dresses or shirts that show off the baby bump. Either option is fine, or you can do both!
Most importantly, I want you to be comfortable.
If you are not comfortable, it will show in your face and in the photos.
These should fun and not stressful in the slightest!
Where do the maternity photos take place:
I love to take advantage of natural light in my photos and prefer to shoot in the golden hour around sunset. I have many pre-selected locations that I shoot from across Southern New Jersey for maternity photos, including Burlington County, Camden County, and Ocean County. Or if you prefer your own sentimental location, I’d be happy to meet you there as well.
What are fresh 48 photos?
Fresh 48 typically means capturing the first photos of your little one. Commonly, these happen in the hospital after the baby is born. What is great about fresh 48 photos is that these keepsakes are often how you present your new addition to the world! Sometimes we can forget those little moments between the labor pains, lack of sleep, and the blur of doctors, so having me scheduled for a fresh 48 helps to preserve those early moments for your family.
When is the best time to take newborn photos?
Typically, the best time to take newborn photos will be in the first two weeks. At this time, they are still nice and squishy, and usually, they are very sleepy – which makes taking photos easier! I will work with you on your schedule, but typically we want to make sure the baby is clean, fed, and happy!
How should I prepare for a newborn photoshoot?
Newborn photos are typically taken in your home or in the baby’s nursery, so you do not have to worry about travel. However, I also offer backgrounds and settings available here in Westampton if you prefer. Making sure your baby is clean and fed is usually the most helpful factors for a smooth session. Having a warm blanket handy helps as well as any special toys or outfits you want to use, just let me know! Otherwise, I’ll be bringing everything I need to capture the moment
My house is messy, will the photos look messy too?
You will be surprised! Do not worry about the mess, mama. I have been there! I can assure you, the photos will still be magical even if the dishes are piled up.
