My Favorite Locations in Ocean County for Photoshoots
If you are in the Ocean County area, here are some of my favorite places to get photoshoots done for your special day.
Parks and beaches are great for photoshoots, but finding the right ones can be difficult, especially when you want good scenery for your pictures. The following places have beautiful scenery, great aesthetics, and more for your wedding, maternity, or engagement photographs.

Island Beach State Park:
Address: Lanoka Harbor, NJ 08734
This location is a beautiful beach and park all in one. The shoreline and habitats are protected, so you know you will get great photos with pristine beaches. You can get some great backdrops for your special day or just scenery related pictures. A few of the places on the island are protected from human interference, but there is still plenty of beautiful locations to shoot from.
You can find a lot of wildlife here, including ospreys, foxes, and over 400 species of plants. So not only will you get that gorgeous backdrops, you may even see some beautiful wildlife photobomb that perfect picture.
There is a lighthouse that can be seen from the southern tip of the island, called the Barnegat Lighthouse, which is in the Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. That park is another great place for a photoshoot. The lighthouse will be a great addition to your water or beach aesthetic in your photography.

Jenkinson's Beach and Boardwalk:
Address: 300 Ocean Ave, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742
This beach and boardwalk is a busy location; however, the beach does have great views of the water and includes rentable cabanas if you want that enhanced beach look. The beach is only open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. So if you’re planning to shoot here for a special event, it would be a good idea to plan ahead. You can even rent beach chairs and towels if you do not want to bring your own. You can have the full beach experience here, just make sure you are prepared for the busy season. Plan accordingly for your shoot if you would like it here because it does get filled up quickly that time of year.
The boardwalk here has a ton of activities for all ages to participate in! If you need to kill time or want to have fun after your photoshoot, it would be a great place to play some games and spend time with your family. Not necessarily a photoshoot area, the boardwalk is still notable for its entertainment value. The real photo opportunities come from the shoreline.
Lavallette Beach:

A handicapped-accessible beach, Lavallette Beach has a great view of the water along with a lot of opportunities for photoshoots and play. With playgrounds for the children, to sporting areas for whatever your sports pleasure, there are a lot of activities to do here.
Being handicapped accessible makes this beach a great venue for anyone with special needs to get to join in on the fun. Magnificent scenery and views, along with places to have fun, make this beach one of my go-to locations to snap some photos in Ocean County.
Seaside Heights Beach:

Another one of my favorite places to go, Seaside Heights Beach, allows for some great photo opportunities along with fun and activities for afterward. Beautiful views of the ocean combined with going to amusement areas on the boardwalk here give you some great memories and photos for that special day!
With gorgeous sunsets over the ocean, you can get that perfect, almost nighttime shot for your photos along with beautiful day shots while relaxing and enjoying yourself.
Borough of Seaside Park:

This park is located on the Barnegat Barrier Island across from the Island State Beach Park. Here you can find the lighthouse you viewed from the Island State Beach Park, along with great views of the water for that perfect romantic photoshoot.
Not only does Seaside Park have a rich history for that history buff in your family, but it’s also packed full of fun events for all ages. Great for memories that will last a lifetime, and more opportunities for special photos for your family. This is one of my most recommended picks for photoshoots in Ocean County, New Jersey.
With a lot of great options to choose from, you know you will get the photographs you want and the fun activities when you visit any of these locations. These are just a few of my favorites; there are still many more places to choose from if you want to go with a different park or beach. Or you could go to a couple of them for your shoot, in case you want some more variety in your pictures.
